Bashundhara Group, the largest business conglomerate in the country, produces various products, including cement, with highest priority given to the quality of its products.
“Bashundhara Group never produces any product that will harm consumers. As a result, the quality of the cement of Bashundhara Group is beyond question,” said Engineer AKM Mahbub-Uz-Zaman, Deputy Managing Director of Bashundhara Group (Cement Sector).
“Quality is our first priority,” he said.
Engineer Mahbub-Uz-Zaman spoke at the inaugural session of a two-day training session arranged by the Cement Sector of Bashundhara Group at Rajdorshan Hall at the Bashundhara Convention City Centre in the capital on Friday.
He said Bashundhara Group has started producing high quality cement, using latest technology, in the country in the mid-90s. Bashundhara Group is the largest cement manufacturer of the country and wants to remain in No. 1 position in respect to sales of the products. The salesmen can play a vital role in this regard, he added.
Around 250 employees of Bashundhara Cement and King Brand Cement have participated in the training programme. The training session is divided into two parts. The product training session was held on Friday and the participants will visit the cement factory at Madanganj, Narayanganj, today (Saturday).
At the product training session, employees of the Cement Sector of Bashundhara Group were provided with knowledge and information about the total process of manufacturing cement, qualitative elements of the Bashundhara Group cement and raw materials.
The training session featured several presentations on the technical issues of manufacturing cement and raw materials of cement.
Engineer Saroj Kumar Barua, AGM, Technical Support, Cement Sector, Bashundhara Group, Engineer AKM Serajul Haque, Plant-in-charge of Madanganj cement factory, GM (AHR) Atiquzzaman Khan, Head of Marketing Rashidul Ahsan of Bashundhara Group presented different papers on the cement on the first day of the training session.
Khandakar Kingshuk Hossain, GM (sales) of Cement Sector, Bashundhara Group, also addressed the event.
The training session was arranged with a view to making employees and salesmen of Bashundhara Group aware of the concept of the cement manufacturing process and its qualitative elements.
